WBPSC The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has announced the much-awaited final result for the Clerkship Examination, 2023 (Advt. No. 05/2023). The final consolidated merit list was published on the commission’s official website today, October 16, 2025, bringing an end to the long selection process for thousands of aspirants.

The result contains the names and roll numbers of the candidates who have been provisionally recommended for appointment to the post of Lower Division Assistant/Clerk in various Secretariat Departments, Directorates, and District offices under the Government of West Bengal. Candidates who appeared for the Part-II (Mains) exam and the subsequent computer proficiency test can now check their final status.

How to Check the WBPSC Clerkship Final Result 2023

Candidates can download the merit list PDF by following the steps below:

1. Visit the Official WBPSC Website: Go to the official portal: wbpsc.gov.in.
2. Navigate to ‘What’s New’: On the homepage, look for the “What’s New” section on the right-hand side.
3. Find the Result Link: Click on the link that reads, “FINAL MERIT LIST OF QUALIFIED CANDIDATES RECOMMENDED FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE POST OF CLERK IN THE WEST BENGAL SECRETARIAT, DIRECTORATES, AND DISTRICT OFFICES based on THE CLERKSHIP EXAMINATION, 2023.”
4. Download the PDF: Clicking the link will open the official result PDF.
5. Search for Your Name/Roll Number: The PDF will contain the complete merit list. Use the search function (Ctrl+F) and type your name or roll number to find your result quickly.

If your name is on the list, you have been provisionally recommended for appointment.

What’s Next for Recommended Candidates?

Candidates whose names appear on the final merit list have successfully cleared all stages of the selection process. The next steps will be handled by the concerned government departments.

• Department Allocation: The WBPSC will now forward the list of recommended candidates to the state government for the allocation of specific departments and offices based on the final merit rank.
• Appointment Letter: The respective departments will then issue formal appointment letters to the candidates.
